Hi folks, Wonder if it is easy to park a car overnight and camping around the Greyrock climbing area near Fort Collins? I have seen in some guide books mentioning about the fee camp sites, but not sure if it's ok to park your car overnight and camp near the rocks? Thanks

Yep - it's ok to park overnight. Keep in mind that it's a 45 minute hike to reach Greyrock and the surrounding crags. The best camping can be found around the base of S. Slabs and SE Face. There's some real gems up there, have fun!

Be on the lookout for the samurai sword that has been known to show up there in much the same way as Excalibur mysteriously appears in some English lakes. No one knows where it came from and where it disappeared to, but it was seen by many.

Wonder if the State Park pass will work there? Thanks

I left it up there, wonder where it's gone off to.

Hey Bang, Camping is free - and I'd reccomend parking your car at the Greyrock Trail Head and using the standard trail to approach the S. Slabs. Ryan's reccomended route (though a tad quicker) can be a bit confusing to someone unfamiliar with the area -

Thank Kevin and Ryan for the info on the approach. I will post more if I have some last minute questions!
