Cave Lake State Park
|
I was just looking through some photos from last summer and came across some pics of really cool limestone walls at Cave Lake State Park outside of Ely, far east side of Nevada. What gives with this area? Any development? Access issues? Just too far away for most? Sorry if the photos don't do it justice, these would be some spectacular sport cliffs. |

Nice shots Tom, those do look pretty good! |

oops, sounds like michelle has the low-down.. my mistake! |

Came upon this cliff(the first pic)a couple years back. It is however within Cave Lake State Park boundarys and there is a no-bolting rule within the park. The second photo looks like Table mtn. You can climb and bolt in this area outside the park. There are already some routes there. It is quite a hike to it. There are also other crags in the area with bolted sport climbs. |

See Mark Mazza's thread for info on a canyon just outside Cave Lake State Park to the north. |

Hey All. @LL2 and his crew bolted a bunch of stuff a couple miles North East of Cave Lake at a place they dubbed "Valley of the Kings". It's 2.2 Miles beyond the Cave Lake Turnoff once the pavement turns to a dirt road. Here is the thread @LL2 is talking about. |

Heading east on I-50 any chance I could get directions from this direction? Thanks from a dirtbag climber |
