T-Mobile coverage in RMNP?

I'm thinking of switching to T-Mobile, but still want to be able to call my girlfriend from RMNP to let her know that all is well. Assuming I have decent line of sight to the front range or Estes Park, does T-Mobile have decent coverage in RMNP?

If not, what other providers work reasonably well?

I'm current using Verizon and it works decently enough to get a text message out most of the time, and this goes a long way towards having a happy girlfriend when I get home.

No relationship advice please (unless its really amusing).

i've made phone calls from almost table ledge and near sky potty junction. not sure about the rest of the park though.

but maybe its better to get a phone company without phone reception in the park. could be better for your climbing and relationship.

I'd say that almost qualifies as amusing. I won't flag you this time.

What does the hat say? Just curious?

FYI AT&T works in chaos, and in the glacier gorge lot. Actually really helped me find a friend in upper chaos once.

Or switch to Tmobile for everyday use; and keep your current phone and switch that one to pay-as-you-go, and keep it in your bacpack for RMNP trips.

Yes, T-mobile has O.K. but not great coverage, basically line of sight of Estes then you'll have coverage.

I've had Verizon for years now and are happy with the service. I called my wife once way back at Searle pass above Janet's cabin on the CO trail with no problem.

Thanks for all the input. Kinda surprised the bantering settled down as quickly as it did. I'm switching mostly to save money, and am not really looking for better coverage. I just want the coverage to be good enough to send the occasional "All is well" text. It sounds like it is from many of these responses.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
