So I was at the REI used gear sale and pick up this pack. Amazing condition havent found anything wrong with it.

My question is about the packs job. I know its a classified as "luggage" but I was curious to know if anyone has had any extensive backpacking excursion with it?

I will be on a year+ trip to asia that will included hiking to basecamp amongst other treks.

Would this back suffice for this type of activites? or is this more of a "luggage" pack

Might work. The waypoints share a suspension with Osprey's lightweight backpacking packs (Ariel/Aether). My biggest concerns would be compressing the load and packing it with trekking gear. Also, there is no back up to the large zipper panel, so if a zipper blows on the pack you're screwed.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
