Flagstaff - Must See

I'm visiting my girl friend in Phoenix at the end of September. We plan to head up to Flagstaff for a day or two and do some bouldering and hiking. Unfortunately not bringing any gear. Are there any places that are a must see or must do in the Flagstaff area? Thanks much! As all gapers suggest, we might swoop over to the Grand Canyon. Worth it? Or just stay in the chill area of Flagstaff..?

If you are interested in geology ( or otherwise just like to see really cool volcanic stuff ) go hike the sunset crater cinder cone volcano and check out the lava flow.

Be sure to bring $20 cash to get in - they don't take plastic.

For some shopping, check out Zani next to Biff's Bagels at 107 W Phoenix (the girlfriend will love this place).

For breakfast, check out La Bellavia on Beaver St. They've got a great menu and awesome eggs benedict.

For coffee and AWESOME hot chocolate and hot cider, go to Macy's, two doors up from La Bellavia.

Hit up Macy's for sure. Best coffee, great staff, food is incredible, can't beat the price, and so on and so on...

You should also go underground and checkout the lava tubes (one goes on underground for about 1 mile)

Sunset Crater is only 5$ to get in. With that pass you can also see Wupatki, and Walnut Canyon.

The Grand Canyon will turn anyone into a gaper, Take a day and do a hike, go down the Tanner trail and bag some summits. Just get off the S. Rim.
Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
