Starting to piece together a trad rack for the wasatch range and the south utah desert. I have a set of hexes but not much else. Any recommendations on selections and sizes would be greatly appreciated.

Apples and oranges; the two areas take very different racks. For SoUT, you'll want a lot of cams. For Wasatch you'll want slightly fewer cams, and some stoppers.

Start by buying a couple sets of cams. And throw your hexes away.

Here's my standard Wasatch rack, especially if I don't have a specific game plan:

00 - 3 TCU

4 - 6 Metolius power cams

.3 - 4 Camalots. Doubles on 1, 2 and 3.

Set of nuts. Set of micro nuts.

For southern Utah, really depends on which area and what route(s). An Indian Creek rack might be very different than, say, a Paul Ross route in the Swell.
Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
