I'm ordering a pair of Mountain Hardwear Hydra gloves and was wondering if any of you fine folks out there could help me out deciding what size to order. Can't find any to try on around here.
I'm definately between a medium and large in BD gloves
A flat out large in OR gloves. Any experiance with MH glove fit?
I wear an XL in MH fleece liner gloves. They're the only ones that I've found that are long enough but not sloppy wide.
I have a pair of Alpine ALibi's XL that fit nicely in terms of width, but I wish the were a hair longer. Not a bad fit, but they could be a bit longer in the fingers.
I know that's not comparing apples to apples, but hope it helps. I'd say OR and MH gloves are comparable in width/volume, but MH are a tad longer in the fingers.
i have a couple pair of MH gloves as well as BD gloves. they're similar in sizing. i'd say you should size up if warmth is the only factor. if dexterity is key (e.g. ice climbing), go w/the smaller size.
I have the Hydra Gloves in a Medium. I actually bought both the M and L sizes to try out, and they were both pretty close, but the M just had a bit more dexterity for me - I literally sat here in my living room with each pair tying every knot I could think of, clove hitching neutrinos dozens of times, basically anything that required a fine touch.
Given that most places don't charge restocking fees, and you can send the gloves back for ~$3 or so, it may be worth it for you to try them on side by side as well.
