Camping in Park City

I will be attending a family reunion in early June in Park city. I'll have dogs that aren't welcome at hotels and don't want that much family quality time.

Are there any nice campsites that allow dogs within convenient driving of park city?

My preference is state or national land over paying $20/night to listen to the guy next door's generator, but I'm not picky. I just figured you guys would be the ones who knew about BLM land and such.

Evan there is tons of Forest service land all around Park City, Up in Guardsmans pass you will find some. If you head over to Heber (20min from Park City) there is camping. Kamas is about 20 min. as well with loads of Forest Service land just on the other side of Kamas. The Uintahs are right outside of Kamas. If you follow the mirror lake highway you can find all the camping you could want. Good Climbing out there too. Out towards Coalville there is Camping (20 min). That should give you a good start. Not much climbing in PC but really good Mtn. Biking and you are about 30 mins from Little and Big Cottonwood Canyons.

Both Guardsman Pass and the Mirror Lake Highway are currently closed to vehicle traffic (winter seasonal closures). They sometimes open in May, but, sometimes into June.

Also note that both BCC and LCC are watersheds and your dogs aren't allowed. Big fine if you get caught with them in either canyon.

Climbing in the Uintas doesn't usually get rolling until later in the summer, well after the Mirror Lake Highway opens. Is only clear to MP 14 or so right now. Most climbing is well past that. Might be some camping nearby or up to the road closure, if it isn't open by early June, though.

Out of Heber towards Duchesne there's a fair bit of camping possibilities (Daniels Canyon, towards Strawberry, etc).

Cheers!
