I was in the swell last weekend...the weather was great and the camping is free. As long as you stay out of the shade it should be more than warm enough.

The swell is one huge free campground. Most of the area descriptions on mountainproject mention camping, but in general you can't swing a dead cat without hitting a fire ring and space for a tent. Just be careful not to trample any crypto soil, don't build any new fire rings, and don't gather any wood.

Are any of the slots in shape now?

thanks for the responses...i'd also be interested in knowing if anyone has been getting into any of the local slots lately

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
