Disposing of used propane canisters
|
So I can't believe i've gone this long with out really knowing how to dispose of my used propane tanks. I know that some can be recycled, but didn't know how to do so. I've also heard of large fines for incorrectly doing so. |

Buy a fifteen pounder and get it refilled when empty. No waste... no worries. |
|
already have, but don't know what to do with what is used up |
|
Actually learned this at my work today. When they are used up (make sure they are), poke a hole, empty out residual fuel and then recycle. |

thanks, that'll work great on my small canisters but anyone have any info on those coleman steel tanks? |

Coleman makes these "Green Key" tools which are essentially bleed valves, ensuring the tank is fully empty so it can be recycled. |

Stand a ways back and shoot it :) |

Suggest .357 or .44 mag. If there half full, duck. Next to a good camp fire works gives added benefit. Experience gain complements of The Marlboro Adventure Team time off with nothing else to do. Oh yes, please recycle the schrapnel. |
