There is a chance I will be heading to the Tahoe/Reno area for 2 weeks in October (10 to the 24) for rope access training. I was thinking while I'm there I should hit up some of the climbing areas. Is this a good time of year to climb, or should I be bring my skis instead?

Fall is the best time to climb around Tahoe. Temps should be great that time of year. Nights will be cool, but the daytime should warmup nicely. Storms can occasionally come through, but your percentages will be good. You will have no use for skis.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
