Where to Buy a Zipper?
|
I'd like to repair a blown zipper in my bullet pack and wondered where one would obtain a single quality zipper in 20" length. |

You might want to try Ripstop Repairs in Boulder. |

There is a cleaners on the SW corner of Arapahoe and Broadway. They might be called ABC or something like that. The older woman at the counter (owner, I think) did very high quality work replacing a zipper in a powder suit, including the right interior hidden stitch. |

Outdoor Wilderness Fabrics is a good place to buy just about anything you need to make your own technical soft goods. |

Boulder mountain repair. They moved to louiville but rock! |

I've used Boulder Mountain Repair in the past and they have done good work, but in this case were too expensive. Thus I am going to attempt to repair it myself. I could buy a brand new replacement for this pack at retail for 1/2 the price it would cost in labor to have it repaired. And I'd do just that but I guess I've gotten attached to this one after dragging it up countless climbs and I hate to throw anything away. Other than the zipper it's still going strong. |

Thru-hiker.com should have a few options. Rockywoods probably does too. |
|
www.zipperstop.com They seem to have a wide selection of quality zippers. Among the things they carry are self-sealing outseam length zippers for zip on shell pants. |

I know you want to save money by doing it yourself, but REI Outlet has the BD Bullet pack for only $29.93. Just another option... |
