Static Ropes - High-tensile polyester Vs. Nylon

Thinking about picking up a Sterling HTP static rope for fixing lines. Probably in the 9.5MM size.

Before I drop the coin, I'm trying to get a little more information than what I read on the Sterling website. From that page I gained that the HTP line does not absorb water by virtue of its molecular makeup (versus a coating) and that it has zero stretch. What about durability and longevity? Does anyone have experience using a polyester line and are you able to contrast it with the traditional nylon static lines?

Bumped so I don't have to repeat the question.

I used a 9mm for a makeshift zip line. Yeah, after loading the rope it has a weird stiff feel to it that sort of breaks over when you bend it, but still had no problems using it later to rappel on. I don't worry about it anymore. I did however cause the sheath to fuzz with the zip line cause one of the trolleys was chewed up and I didn't notice it.

What about for using it on a big wall? Hauling and jugging. Is the super static property something to be worried about? I can see the benefit of not losing energy in the bounce of the rope but is it worth it.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
