Favorite(s)? Can I have more than one?

The interface to select Favorites seems to allow me to select more than one favorite area. However after selecting several favorite areas and then returning to the home page, only the original selection remains.

Seems like I should either be allowed to have more than one favorite, or the interface ought not to allow multiple selections.

Am I doing something wrong? (I hope this is not simple and embarrassing.)

Tom,

You can have more than one favourite area.

Here's an example using Colorado and Utah.

Select Change Favourites

Select Colorado from the select menu on the left

Click Add Colorado

Click Done.

This will make your home page Colorado...

To add another area click on the change favourite link - and the select menu will come up.

From here click on one of the other areas you want for example Utah and confirm by clicking ADD Utah. Finally click DONE when you have finished and you will now have both Colorado and Utah.

To REMOVE an area, click on change favourites and you will see them listed on the Select Menu screen on the right side. Click once with the mouse and you will remove it. Confirm by clicking DONE.

I can email you a step by step with screen shots if you find the above confusing.

Cheers

John

OK - the example actually clears it up, because you selected Colorado and Utah. Here's an example of the problem I was having: If you select [Colorado] and [Eldorado Canyon], the [Eldorado Canyon] favorite is dropped when you save.

It was not clear from the context that sub-items {Colorado ==> Boulder ==> Eldorado Canyon} are really heirarchical and are apparently they are completely included in the higher-level favorite... selected sub-items are dropped when you leave the favorites selection page.

In other words, if you select [Colorado] and [Eldorado Canyon], the [Eldorado Canyon] favorite is redundant so it is omitted.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
