Hi everyone,
I wanted to reach out to the community because I find myself in the unusual position of having a lot of free time after being laid off from my 9-year accounting job in November. While I am in between jobs, I can help with anything from informal taking new climbers out (not a guide or mentor, just four years experience climbing sport and trad primarily in CO, SE UT, and Vedauwoo, and plenty of gear), coaching new skiers (again, not an instructor, just a student of downhill and 14er/13er skiing for 10 years, I do have the Ikon full pass), house projects/repairs (I have been a homeowner in Lakewood since October, and my projects are finally slowing down), dog walking/pet sitting, moving, babysitting, transportation, you name it. Trying to prioritize opportunities for some pay, though I won't charge a ton, but would consider free if it involved climbing, skiing, or learning important skills/giving back to the outdoor community/supporting access. I don't have a gym membership, but if anyone needs informal coaching, happy to help (I hear gyms don't let people teach new climbers concepts anymore due to liability). Thanks all, looking forward to seeing you out there!
