Can't fill a God-shaped hole in your heart with all the drugs in the world.

Pretty sure a god shaped hole in your heart is caused by a congenital birth defect.  God's fault.

Depends on the god. There are so many to choose from.

Nor with the greed and idolatry of climbing. Or with doctrine, hierarchy, and ritual.

I think it would to you a lot of good, Tradiban.

Not sure about the heart, but it may be effective to help patch over the god-shaped hole in some peoples’ head.

I never heard of this Aya-what-ever. What’s the goal? All I know is I did shrooms or blotter at many a Grateful Dead concert and had a great time every time. I’ve never experienced depression or anxiety and I often wonder if my experiences with hallucinogens are the reason. It certainly didn’t do me any harm. Of course, I was always careful with doses, environment, and frequency.

Right on, man.

Given how many of you wanna identify as fringe climbers im kinda suprised by the anti drug use. I appreciate the one helpful response.

God bless all y'all.

As usual I can't really tell if the OP isn't trolling but no Aldous you shouldn't pay some weirdo in Central America who claims to be a shaman to drug you for three days so you can find enlightenment. Or anybody really. You shouldn't pay for the drugs yourself and do them in your living room with trusted friends either.

Personally, I don't know anybody at all that uses drugs(even microdosing psychedelics) whose life isn't off-the-rails in some sense. Save yourself the trouble and take the time to find true meaning.

I suppose a good start would be asking yourself, "What does it mean to live a good life and where does that idea come from?" With enough time and thought, you might even stumble and fall into that God-shaped hole I mentioned. ;)

I don't think you know much about psychedelics.

There's quite a bit of published information on psychedelic drugs and a lot of positive personal experience with them - read Shulgin's Phenylethylamines I Have Known and Loved. Johns Hopkins has a department that has been doing research with these drugs for decades, there is good evidence that psychedelics are helpful as a treatment for PTSD and MDD, and the FDA has given the green light to several companies for clinical trials. And there are many high-functioning people who microdose.

I have supporting information for these statements, I can send you and/or refer you to the data.

Fixed that for you.
