I’m planning a trek to the K2 Base Camp in the Karakoram Mountains and want to make sure I have the right insurance for this expedition. I’ve learned that rescue operations in this region can be incredibly expensive, and the Karakoram terrain is significantly tougher compared to Everest Base Camp or the Himalayas.
