"Back" button resets the map location

If I'm exploring an area, I zoom in on it, and click different bubbles to see which routes are in there.

But pretty often, when I press the "Back" button (be it the Android OS one at the bottom left, or the app's dedicated one at the top left), I'm not brought back to the same location I was observing in the map. Instead, I'm zoomed out to the max, looking at North America.

This is very annoying. :(

yeah, this drives me crazy.  the back button in general on the app is a pretty consistent WTF.

Sounds like this is on Android. We will get it looked at! Thanks for bring it up.

Please update to version 23.35.0 and let us know if it helps.  I fixed one place where it was happening, but there could be more.

If updating the app isn't an option (old phone, anyone?), a workaround I found is to tap "Map" instead of the back arrow. That crag is "selected" shown in black, but it's centered on the location and can still navigate and select other crags.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
