FS: MSR Whisperlite International Stove

Description:  I bought this stove at an REI Garage Sale a good while back – even though I already owned one – as I thought maybe I could use it for parts if anything on mine ever broke. Over the years though, my original Whisperlite International has never let me down, and I’ve never needed any spare parts. The tag at the garage sale even had no text written on it describing the problem (see attached picture), so when I got back home, I took the stove apart and cleaned and serviced it to see if it would work or if I could pinpoint the problem. To my surprise, it fired right up with no issues, and stayed lit until I turned it off. I’m thinking the jet was somehow clogged from the factory, and the original purchaser just didn’t feel like trying to clean it. That is just a guess though. In any case, it works perfectly now. I would keep it if I didn’t already have my old Whisperlite. Hopefully someone can put it to good use! Read up on how dependable Whisperlites are at elevation, in the cold, etc. if you don’t know! This kit has everything that originally comes with this stove, including the service kit with the extra jet that allows you to burn kerosene, if that strikes ever your fancy (or is required abroad, for instance). If you need a fuel bottle, I could probably let one of my 20oz MSR fuel bottles go along with the stove, to give you a complete stove kit.

Price:  MSRP for this stove is $160. Asking $80 shipped, or $90 shipped if you want a 20oz MSR fuel bottle ($25 MSRP).
