didn't mean to start any controversy, thought it was harmless fun if not a little edgy. 

for the uninitiated, it was a reference to a youtube that portrayed an ignorant interviewer and an activist - the ignorance of the interviewer itself was where the humor came from. I don't think 'homophobic' is a fair or well thought out accusation. 

Thanks for deleting it. Regardless of the context, using gay as an insult is homophobic. Substitute the word bigotted if you prefer.
