Stolen Van in San Francisco

I know this is a long shot but we had our van stolen in the Inner Sunset on the night between Wednesday and Thursday. There luckily wasn't much stuff in it apart from all my guidebooks which all have my name and contact information on the inside of the covers. If anyone sees or hears about it it please let me know. I built out the van myself and really hope it somehow finds its way back to me.

It was stolen at 7th Ave. and Irving Street. It is a white 2010 Ford Econoline 250. License plate: 411D171. It no longer has the cross bars on top.

Sorry to hear about your van man :( fwiw my car has been stolen in Berkeley two or three times now (I guess it's easy to hot wire) and it always seems to turn up within a few days, crossing my fingers the same happens for you!

That’s a bad sign when you forget how many times your car has been stolen. I guess I should be grateful that I’ve only had my bike, laptop, passport, and 3DS stolen in San Francisco. Good luck, hopefully they left the guidebooks and Creedence tapes!

Hopefully it wasn't Dirty Mike and the boys

Didn’t they legalize theft under $500 in SF?

Thanks everyone. The police recovered the van but it has been completely stripped (along with the guidebooks and Creedence tapes) and it currently not drivable. We are working with the insurance to figure out if it repairable to totalled. Yeah, it freaking sucks that the police does pretty much nothing about it. I heard that vehicle theft is up 700% over the last year in SF :(
