Used these over the weekend in granite cracks - great gloves. I prefer the Outdoor Research gloves over the Ocun's because they're thinner and it doesn't feel like i'm putting stiff shoes on my hands, but the OR ones were so thin the fingers would bust pretty quickly. These are a nice in-between, not as delicate as the OR ones but way more sensitive/fitting than the Occn's. My only complaint is that the finger loops are quite big, but again, better than them busting apart often. |

Stumbled on this thread and made me want to post my Buckskin Jammies I made recently inspired by the G7s I saw couple weeks ago. |

Ive been using the HAND JAM now for an entire season. I will never use another glove again... They're so much more comfy and durable. performance is great! |

Questions for people who have been using them: 1) I’m between sizes and have tried on both. If I go with the larger size it will fit perfectly new, but if they stretch possibly too loose. If I go with the smaller size, they feel ever so slightly tight, but if they stretch and conform as advertised (like a pair of climbing shoes) I reckon they’d be perfect. How much do they stretch? 2) These feel really premium - I like that. Easy on and off unlike the other brands. How do the thin finger loops hold up to wear and tear? What about the spot where the strap folds over on itself? 3) All of the gloves I’ve tried have sticky rubber. These are suede. Do they grip well in very thin, flaring jams? |

I would pick the smaller size. Mine cut into my fingers a bit when new, but they've bagged out enough since then so that it's comfortable a but not overly floppy Haven't had problems with the finger loops or the strap They grip no different than your skin. I think the difference in flaring thin stuff is pretty marginal one way or the other Mine have quite a few pitches on them, but a lot of it is easier climbing. All granite. I was hoping to wear them out and get a new pair before the 3 year warranty expires, but I'd be surprised if that happens |

The thumb loop on my g7’s has stretched out and can sometimes get clipped through carabiners when I’m clipping the rope to cams |

Josh Janes wrote: I’ve had mine for a year or so and they’re by far my favorite crack gloves I’ve used. I was between sizes (M and L I think) and I went for the smaller size. They’ve loosened to the point where they’re very comfortable but certainly not floppy. The only part that has considerable wear is the Velcro bit that folds over on the opposite side of the Velcro, and that’s just from my wrist rubbing inside cracks. The strap is so wide that I’m not worried about it. I was a little unsure about how well they’d grip without rubber but like someone else said they grip just as well as your skin. They had a picture of a dude on the Salathe headwall with the gloves on, and I thought that if he can do that then I can make them do whatever it is I want them to. |
