Metolius Resling/Rewire Service “Simply The Best”
|
What I found out for the first time after getting my old cams back from service through Metolius...amazing cleaning process, twigger action feels new again, slings clearly labeled “2019”...
A 2 week turn-around time for servicing 22 cams is not that bad a wait. Overall, I highly recommend their service. They got a great inspection team. Thanks Metolius! |

Best price by far too! |

One more testimonial for Metolious's resling service-- high quality, an excellent value, and the best cleaning my cams had ever received. |

Great to hear such good reviews! Can anyone speak to how they compare to MountainTools or runout customs in terms of quality? Would Metolius clean and resling cams from other companies? |

I can't speak to the first question as I haven't gotten stuff reslung from all three companies, but I'm fairly certain that Metolius only reslings Metolius cams. |

Metolius are a fantastic group of folks. I bought a set of used Metolius cams that needed slings and they looked somewhat ugly - so the price was super low. The teeth on the cams looked good, as if they had not been placed a lot though. Sent them into Metolius and they literally came back looking almost new. Which was a good thing as I gave them to my son for Christmas. |
|
Agreed. I used to cringe looking at the old Metolius cams on my rack and reach to something else. They replaced the slings, shined em up, they're still doing great. Thank you Metolius, for making a product you stand behind, and offering great lifetime service to your loyal customers. |

Yet another up vote for Metolius, they re-slung my old cams from 2K and they came back looking more new than I could have imagined. It was almost magical. VERY affordable, spectacular work... agreed, simply the BEST service!!! and they will decide if your wires need replacing. What is NOT to love??? |
|
And another - 10/10 service when I sent my Met cams in, including replacing an offset cam because they didn't like something about what they saw. I hadn't asked for the replacement and it was never discussed, they just did it and sent it back with the others they'd reslung. |
|
I just got the return tracking for mine -- can't wait!! $54 for 14 reslings! Feels like Christmas!! Will post up pics when they arrive. Feel like my expectations might be too high after all the 10/10 testimonials. So far, super impressed. |

I was going to bump this when I got mine back, but forgot.
Show me another company with better customer service! I’ll be using them for a long, long time. |

I was truly shocked when I opened the box...and confused too since I had a brand new 00. They replaced it free of charge and also returned the old one. Took quite a bit of analysis to determine the issue on the old one...the clear poly spacer was missing on 1 side...so small I never noticed. The rest of the cams just looked brand spanking new. I was stunned, swearing in disbelief. It looked like they chromed them, triggers like hot butter. It was f'ing Christmas. I was giddy. Def wasn't disappointed in the slightest. I mean they're all brand new. Metolius for life. I've since bought 2 more and need another #2 tcu since mine disappeared end of season. 2nd time now that #2 tcu has vanished. Anyway the are functioning perfectly... |

I love Metolius as well. I only wish I liked their cams as much as I like the company. Those new mastercams are such a bummer. Already plenty of rants on MP about the short stem and lack of thumb loop... But it's still nice to see another report of their fine service. |

Messed up a trigger “wire” on my #8 MC, so I sent a couple others in with it that were a little squeaky or didn’t sit perfectly. They replaced said wire/cable for $5. They replaced the slings on all of them (previously 2018 and in fine shape IMO) for $3/cam. Adjusted the action/timing on all of them for free. They must buff the everything before sending it back out because they are sparking in comparison to the rest of my rack. Finally, when I called with a question about the order about a month ago, a real person answered the phone after one or two rings. 5/5 would recommend |

I'll jump on board the "metolius is great" wagon as well. I sent a bunch of old old TCUs from the 90s in and they're all shiny and new looking now with new slings. But I also sent in some newer mastercams since I was sending the old stuff anyway (i think the mastercams were 2017) and they replaced the slings on anything that was newer for free! They also sent me a bunch of stickers and a hand written thank you note! |

Stephen L wrote: You're crazy, ultralight mastercams are awesome! The perfect compliment to BD camalots/DMM/wildcountry friends for a rack when you need doubles of a few sizes, especially in alpine and multi pitch terrain. SO light, so nice, small racking profile. I often carry totems for my small cams, single set of friends from .4-3, and orange, red, black and green ultralights for doubles. |

I recently got my friend's fairly new zero Metolius stuck while I was leading. When I finally got it out (he couldn't) it wouldn't fully expand again after the trigger was fully depressed. My friend insisted I give him $60 to buy him a brand new one, and keep the "damaged" one. (Long story: I wasn't totally OK with this decision, etc., seemed harsh, but took the high road seeing his point a bit). I called Metolius, they answered, I told my story, they said to ship it and they would fix it free of charge. Within 10 days of shipping it, I got it back looking and working perfect. Metolius for life. :) And now I have a new zero to replace my old zero from like 2001. |

bryans wrote: Cripes....if that were my friend, I wouldn't climb with them anymore. That's some shady logic. Gear getting stuck and/or broken is part of climbing (unless it's a consistent thing). My friend dropped her own cam last weekend on a lead...I still offered to pay half (she didn't allow it; she accepted a new racking biner though). It's a team game up there. One's problem is also the other's problem. |

Will Metolius service other brands? |
