Wild country sling date?

I purchased the full run of the newest version of the Wild country friends directly from the manufacturer last year and when just doing a normal inspection of them I saw that the dates on the sling say 2008. Considering they didn’t even begin production of these cams until 2016, the sling date on my cams can’t be accurate can it? Does wild country do their sling date different than everyone else, did they mistakingly put 2008 instead of 2018? Wild country’s customer service is closed on the weekend so it will be next week before I can call them.

My guess is that 2008 is the ISO 9001 certification date reference.  Their 3 sigma quality rating.

The batch code would most likely be the 03A0917...which to me might indicate the sling was produced in September of 2017.

It's telling me that the Notified Body for the CE certification is Dolomiticert S.C.A.R.L. 

Nothing to with when it was made.

Thanks guys! Glad to hear its not the date. Didnt like the idea of having to resling cams that are under a year old. 

I just bought the same cams. The little paper manual included with the cams that no one ever seems to read says how to decipher the codes. If memory serves: First 2 digits are product code, 3rd digit (letter) is production batch number for the month, next 2 digits are manufacturing month, last 2 digits are the year
