From the Potrero Chico Facebook group, translated from Spanish. |

I think this might be Brad Gobright. |
Yes, it was Brad Gobright. :( |
Very sorry to hear, man. |
wow. shit. |
I hope this is not the case, if so, RIP Brad. |
RIP. It's been a rough year for climbers. |
He was looking for a partner? As in this was a roped accident? The article does say the deceased climber was identified as "Brad." Fuck. |
Fuck |
OMG. |
Telediario has updated their article to confirm that the dead climber is indeed Brad Gobright, 32 years old. |
FUCK. I hope this isn't real. |
Brad was a friend and a hero of mine. Go easy brother. |
Oh no, so sad, Brad is one of my favorite climbers, I met Brad in Yosemite a couple years ago. Really humble and great guy. |
fuck shit piss |
This is just terrible. Unbelievable so sad |
A man died and another was seriously injured when both fell from an approximate height of 200 meters. That doesn't make sense. It will be interesting to see what details we can get. It's sobering when black belt trad climbers die from some kind of system failure and fall hundreds of meters. Reminds me of the accident on Freerider last summer. |
Rest easy, Brad |

Russ B wrote: I saw some photos posted on the Texas Climbers Group, from a Mexican media site that shows and names the partner. He looked really upset but seemed mostly unscathed physically. Very curious what happened. I presume the partner will be able to share when he is emotionally ready to do so. |

Go brightly into the night, Brad. |

Knot the ends of your ropes on rappel. ALWAYS. Every fcking time |
