Still buggy at Pawtuckaway? (Sep 2019)

Curious if anyone's been up at Pawtuckaway recently and can vouch for whether the bugs have died down. Normally I'd expect them to have, but it seems like the wet summer has prolonged the buggy season in many parts of the Northeast. Thanks!

Bugs weren't bad at Boulder Natural two weekends ago, though as with anything, YMMV.

Only gotta worry about mosquitos this time of year at Pway. Bugspray will be the only defense you need and they'll leave you alone. Some days you wont even need it

A week ago I had to leave early because it was getting too bad. It was close to dusk though and that tends to be the worst of it.

Sunday they were a nonissue while I was there between 11 am and 4 pm

Sunday: Like been said,  no issues, some mosquitoes. But it just poured Monday late day, and warm today.  You might have some new friends to welcome you. Happy climbing!

Thanks, all! We were surprisingly fine today despite forgetting bug spray. A few mosquitoes at dusk, but nothing too bad.

Guys, I don’t know what you’re talking about.

It’s always buggy in PWay. Always. Especially during the Fall. People should stay away. Because, diseases.

I hiked through Boulder natural and Lower Cliffs Sunday and had no problems with bugs.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
