smallest locking biner?

Here is a pic of my Ruffwear leash locker.  Sorry, very worn, but "IT" says 1100 kg and seems to be better suited for climbing than the one pictured with a dime.

Camp and Mammut made the smallest single action autolocking carabiners.  Mammut may have discontinued them, but camp makes a similar version.  Orbit 2Lock

Petzl spirit locker is not the smallest but the thinnest nose I have seen, which greatly facilitates those tight squeezes at the bolts/chains that you speak of....

Yeah, I have the same leash. Mine also says 1100 kg but otherwise seems identical to Viperscales' version.

these are nice:

thin, light, inexpensive, good locking action, and not too small to clove hitch

Extremely lightweight and easy-locking carabiner with Keylock nose. The Wall Micro Lock is ideal for the self-assurance and the Standplatzbau in alpine terrain.

Grivel Plume is the smallest I know of. It feels materially smaller than the DMM Phantom, Petzl Spirt, Edelrid Pure, etc., though I'm sure it's only a few millimeters difference...

I think it means something like "anchor building"

I've always liked the Metolius small locker. One disadvantage (or advantage depending) is that the barrel takes many turns to screw all the way down. I like the extra bit of security and use one for autoblock duty and another for the emergency gear..

Had to write a very sincere "thank you" for the good info here. I recently purchased from Amazon the Mammut 4" twist-lock mentioned in this thread, and indeed, it is nearly as compact as the non-locking Blue Fusion Contigua (arborist.com) I've been using for years as my go-to clip for descending w/my Russ Anderson Fig. 8 by CMI. I love that setup cause the short vertical profile of the Blue Fusion keeps my Fig. 8 line from chafing aganst my rope snap hitch during descent. Fine for rec climbing, but when working things can get crazy very quickly (I'm not a mountan guy, I'm a tree climber) and you can never have too much safety. The Mammut screw lock is only .125" longer than the Blue Fusion. I think I can make that work! [Ed - NO, I am wrong, was writing from memory. Sorry, guess my memory's shot. The Blue Fusion 'biner is 2 7/8", the Mammut is nearly 4", not even close.]
