Heads up. There is now no parking or stopping past Forest Dr (Water Tanks). This has lead to much more parking on Forest Dr, which is legal but now people are parking in both sides of the road effectively making it one way. This might piss off the neighbors.
Also, there are seasonal parking restrictions for most of Fern Valley Dr in the winter. Watch for the signs.
Technically you need an adventure pass to park in Humber Park but I've never even heard of someone getting a ticket.

Are they letting non-locals park at Humber Park? Asking for a friend.

Not only will it piss off the neighbors, it will lead to no parking signs along the road. Think before you just park anywhere!

Sounds like the parking restrictions affect climbers parking for Suicide Rock, primarily?

the signs have been up for a many months boys. the NFS even installed a new gate to prevent the idiots from doing there thing. As someone who has had to deal with these idiots for many years blocking driveway, leaving diapers in the yard, and creating gridlock for hours, these restrictions are a great thing!

I predict Forest Drive will turn into a multicultural playground filled with diapers, plastic discs, bbqs, etc etc... if a good winter forms. The primary reason we moved off of Forest Drive. Not much happens on many of the other streets, but that is going to change with the snow play at Humber shuttered. CHP is even floating ideas of closing the mountain if the good citizens can't follow rules. Idyllwild is in a Catch 22. They need those winter tourons, but they have no place for the masses to play...

Isn't a park exactly where the masses are supposed to play?

Minus the snow. I thought Idyllwild locals were tougher than that.

There is parking in the Venice area for thousands of cars. I know, I go when I want to people watch and take outta towners. Granted, zillions of cars want to park, but oh well. Idyllwild area has room for about 350 cars, yet a zillion show up to play in the snow. A few years ago when we had a great winter, humber park was so packed the idiot's were finding other places to be idiots. I was helping an old lady shovel her driveway, after I got the CHP to come out and kick the dumbasses off the driveway. Kids were having a blast sledding and crashing into the lady's fence that the family jumped over. The kicker was the BBQ that dad set up in the middle of the lady's driveway. They bullied the old lady back into her house when she asked them to leave. Then I got the call for help. So, I did my neighborly duty..
