Awesome suggestions! I struggle too with finding pants that I can wear from work to the gym that I think are cute and functional! I would love a pair of durable leggings where the chalk just fluffs right off! Has anyone else found any good leggings to climb in?

The problem I've had with leggings is durability. They seem to get snags and holes in them really quickly. That said, the best pair of leggings I tried to make into climbing pants once were Alo Yoga's Goddess leggings (if you can get past the stupid name). They're just really comfortable, and I personally find them stylish as well. They've got a bunch of other stylish leggings that are often on sale at Backcountry.

As far as gym climbing leggings.. La Sportiva makes some leggings with a good waist band and they are a slick(?) material.. chalk doesn’t accumulate.  It’s sort of a geometric repeating  pattern and they come in lots of colors.. I have a pair and have had no trouble eith them falling down, ripping, or chalk build up... I don’t wear them outside much though...

Not gonna lie, I've been climbing in dickies and they're surprisingly comfortable...probably too hot for summer, but right now they're pretty great.

Edit: Oh and they're cheap. I got the women's tactical pant and the high waisted crop pant both are A+

Ice climbing pant recommendations? I’ve tried the leggings under thick hiking pants technique, also the very light snow pant too. I’m still stuck trying to find the right layering balance for optimal movement and warmth. What are your go to winter ice climbing pants? Brand? Or just layering method?

I had a pair of Proof NY Visser soft shell pants (think they were Schoeller) which were a great cross between leggings and durable pants with a decent cut. Super stretchy but super durable. Unfortunately they don't make them anymore (isn't that always the way) and I have been hunting high and low for replacement pants. I have bought la sportiva, 5.10, E9 and tried others but none of them cut it. I recently picked up a pair of Kailas 9A Classic pants and I LOVE THEM. They are stretchy, durable (wore them 5 days straight climbing in the winds and they still look new) and that cross between leggings and pants that I was looking for. They are cut well and have a comfy thick elastic waist band. I'm considering trying their Onsight pants as well.
