What is wrong with my cam? Photos included

I've tried scrubbing it with a toothbrush (with soap and water) and using metolius cam lube. As the photos show, one side is very uneven, the other just a little bit. Any suggestions?

 If I don't find anything here it's getting sent to the manufacturer. 

Nothing is wrong with your cam

There is nothing wrong, it is perhaps asymmetrical because of the trigger wires being bent or uneven in the trigger bar.

I thought that you want to place the cam lobes evenly when placing in a parallel crack. I would imagine that this would prevent that. Am I wrong? Please explain how this is okay.

I tried rotating the cam lobes back to level more than a few times, they simply keep going back to their uneven position. It sounds like this is an okay amount of uneven placement between the lobes then no?

I think Allen Sanderson is correct. The trigger wires look to have slid through the trigger bar. A possible fix: You can hold the cam as if you are going to place it- fingers on the trigger, thumb on the stem (but not actuating the trigger bar) and lift on the lobes that are closest to the trigger bar and adjust them back into their symetrical happy place. Trigger wires can slip when cams are stuffed in backpacks or pressed aginst a climber and rock. Hope this helps.

In the upper photo it looks like the solid wire is slightly bent above where it is swaged to the stranded wire. This bend would shorten the disance on that side causing those lobes to be closer to the trigger. You can try to gently straighten it with your fingers. This can fatigue the metal and weaken the wires if done multiple times leading to the need for replacement. Your goal would be to have an even amount of stranded wire visible on each side of the trigger bar and straight solid wires from the swages to the lobes.

If there is grit causing the lobes to get stuck you can always boil water than put the cam in it and open / close to clean up the action. I think like others said it is likely more of just the trigger wires being off though if you aren't having issues with the lobes getting stuck when you release the triggers.

Turns out it was the bent trigger wires. I've taken courses for trad climbing and climbing with more experienced friends all the time, but random issues with my gear hasn't been a topic of discussion. I really do appreciate all the helpful comments.

Well your cam-era seems to be a potato so you might want to check on that. But your cams are fine, just a little tweaked. 

Looks like a purple trango... about a 3? Yea cam wires may need to be adjusted now and then as you inspect your gear before climbing on it...

 I mainly have issues with my biggest trango the 8 and 9 , more so with the 9, the wires are good about twisting and bending up, easy fixes tho, 

They work good I like them for cheaper cams but not the same craftsmanship as bd or metiolius 

You are correct, it's a purple Trango @S2k4life. I do check my gear before climbing on it hence this post. I saw an issue that I didn't know how to fix and wanted some insight. It was retired until I found out how to fix it. 

I like them too, but in the future won't buy any cheap cams.
