Finger pain at base of middle finger??

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone has experienced the pain described below.
The pain is only on the middle finger. It is at the base of the middle finger, where the finger joins with the hand. It is on the anterior/outside side of both middle fingers. The pain is located medially and laterally on the middle finger. This location is puzzling to me as it is different than the normal pulley injuries. Pain is mostly felt when direct pressure is applied (almost like it is a bone bruise). I rested/iced for 2 weeks and tried climbing again but it came right back. Also it seemed to develop slowly. Has anyone ever had symptoms similar to this and how long did it take to get better??

Thanks!

Try keeping it raised all day but also make sure the other fingers are down.

Sorry for the unhelpful comment... hopefully somebody has a better answer. :)
