THIS

however, I, for one, welcome our new image macro overlords

A meme ( /ˈmiːm/; meem)[1] is "an idea, behavior or style that spreads from person to person within a culture."[2] A meme acts as a unit for carrying cultural ideas, symbols or practices, which can be transmitted from one mind to another through writing, speech, gestures, rituals or other imitable phenomena. Supporters of the concept regard memes as cultural analogues to genes in that they self-replicate, mutate and respond to selective pressures

I offer up the following memes:

1) blowing chalk off hands
2) bouldering without a shirt, but with a beanie
3) wearing approach shoes grocery shopping
4) A Petzl, Black Diamond, or Mammut decal on a car (or computer, in my case..)

Dude are you kidding approach shoes are my daily kicks. Love knowing I'm on c4 when I'm sprinting to catch a bus in the rain.

I see what you did there. Looks like OP wants the images though.

Per your definition, image macros in general are a meme. Or perhaps the act of creating an image macro is a meme.

Or better yet that behavior is a memeplex (or meme complex), just like the act of creating those xtranormal cartoons, "Shit _ _ _ say.." videos (let's face it only the original "Shit Girls Say" was funny), "what my friends, family, colleagues think I do" inspirational posters or remaking movie trailers with different voiceovers.

That is not a meme example, but rather a variation on an existing meme. Try again.

No, actually go HERE and create a climbing specific meme. No, you can't do it from your iPhone.

Alright. Found some acceptable pictures to actually start our OWN memes. Taking cues from @Dan G. Here are a few images (and suggested meme themes) ... go forth and create!
