Featured Trad, Sport, Bouldering, and other popular climbing routes and climbing areas Sedalia, Missouri.
Mossy, sandstone, really great rock if you put sometime into cleaning it. Fun for a day or weekend. Really easy approach. Go to Cave Hollow Park in Warrensburg, MO. Park on the first parking lot on the right. Follow the paved trail all the way to the end to reach the main climbing area. By the biggest cave on the right of the trail is also a few problems
Park Rangers do not want climbers to climb near the visitors center. They support climbing in other areas around the lake. Kaysinger Bluff is located on Truman Lake, above the east end of the dam. From Hwy 7 turn north onto SW 621 Road. Follow 621 to the only stop sign (a "T" junction) and turn right. Go across the dam and park in a small paved parking lot on the right (south). Kaysinger Bluff is the obvious rock north across the street, below and to the right of the spaceship-looking visitors center. Park in the lot and walk across the street to the climbs.
The farthest buttress right, just left of the right/east walkdown, as seen from the water. Take the right/east walkdown. It comes out right below the buttress.
