Climbing Near Santiaguillo, Guanajuato

It is a small community with several areas of rocks, Access is free, but you should always ask the locals as some paths to the walls pass through their lands. Don Toño and his son Jesus own a large part of the area and they can camp with them, they are friendly. From the city of Queretaro, you take the free road to Celaya and at the Santa Barbara bridge you take the free road 413 towards coroneo and about 20km away is the town of Ex Hda La Sabanilla, you have to take a dirt and cobblestone road right where it is a materials store and a vulcanizer. 7km from that road you get to Tepuzas and ask for Don Pantoja's store, there you can park the car. And walk to the rock areas that are already visible

This area is kind of left center of all the climbing. There is also a large prominent block on the far left side of this sector that is visible from below. Stays shady all morning until early afternoon and even then shade can be found on some routes. Has a great range of routes from easy 10 to 12d several good ones in the 5.11 range. 15 min approach. There are a lot of roads to drive up and it can be a little confusing as to which one is best but the cliffs are clearly visible so just drive towards it and don't park in front or in someones driveway. Hike along the creek until you find one of several trails heading to the section of climbing you want to do. It's pretty straight forward just respect peoples fields and animals.
