Bouldering wall along creek bottom in the middle of the natural area Park at the Lower Purgatory Trailhead in San Marcos for an easy 2 mile approach to the Purgatory Wall.
Bouldering (and some old sport climbing) off the Blanco River. White Trash Wall (noted in "Texas Limestone Bouldering" as being developed by James Harrison) is a boulder right off the road. The cliff behind it has some old bolts. There's another boulder maybe 50-100 yards south east of White Trash with some solid potential, and probably much more in the area! White trash wall is best approached by parking a quarter mile south west (where the road curves away from the Blanco, off private property) and walking back east along the road.Access to other parts of the Blanco can be challenging, as it's all privately owned land. Landowners can't restrict access to the navigable river, but you may be told to "navigate on through" and not to linger.
A large boulder located just south west of 1492, clearly visible from and adjacent to river road. Developed by James Harrison. Park in pull outs south west on river road, just past where the road goes uphill and away from the river. Walk a quarter mile or so back north east along the road.
