County Line Wall is at the edge of Robinson Bluffs property, on the south side. The wall gets morning sun, and afternoon shade. It has 4 climbs, all being moderates. The climbs are 45 - 55 ft high. The County Line Wall is at the farthest south edge of the property, it's 100 ft past the City Limits Wall.
Morning sun with afternoon shade, this wall section can be a great place to stay cool during the summer days.*Note: We are currently cleaning this wall section. Please announce yourself while hiking and be aware of trail signs, posted warnings, and always wear a helmet. The City Limits Wall is at the southern edge of the Robinson Bluff property and can be identified by the large scoop-shaped hole, centered in the left end of the wall. Expect sun during the morning to mid day, during the winter, when the leaves are on the ground. "C is for Cookie" is the first bolted line on the far left hand side of the exposure and follows a C-shaped shallow dihedral most of the way up the route.Routes range from 30 ft to 65 ft tall and currently provide a small range of difficulty levels (range from 5.9 to 5.11). Work in progress. Please provide feedback using your MP App. Star rating and rate difficulty feedback helps the next visitors use the app. Head north past almost all of the the other wall sections.
This wall is our tribute to Dolly Parton. She is an iconic performer and a prolific songwriter, with over 3000 songs to her credit. She also has an incredible record of philanthropy. For example, at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic she gave a million dollars to Vanderbilt University to fund research on the virus. She has also started and funded numerous scholarship programs in education and literacy for the children in her home county in Tennessee. This wall lies between dog walk and the "City Limits" wall both far to the climber’s left of the great staircase. It is a shaded area. The base of the climbs are often wet but once you're past the first bolt the rock is clean and dry!On all the Dolly Wall routes we recommend stick clipping the first (or second) bolt. This is our next crag past the "John Prine Wall". if you're coming from the Grand Staircase, it's just past the Dog Walk Gully. An alternate approach is to turn right at the green dumpster, walk down the path along the ridge line to the dog walk (a 5 minute walk at most and .1 mile), scramble down the dog walk and then head South to Dolly Parton. This approach is considerably quicker.
