Featured Trad, Sport, Bouldering, and other popular climbing routes and climbing areas Oakville, Ontario.
A new area developed in Spring 2017 with closely bolted beginner and moderate sport routes. Lots of routes have steep sections so can feel tough for the grade. The area is on private property with a supportive landowner that lives approx. 100m downhill from the cliff, so be on your best behaviour to keep this area opened. From the parking lot at Walkers Line and Side Road 2, walk along the Bruce Trail to the base of the cliff and go left (don't go up the ladder).
150m section of cliff with many moderate trad routes. Small number of climbs makes this area difficult to navigate. 60m climbers' left of Gooseberry Gully
This is the southernmost climbing area at Mt. Nemo. It receives morning sun and then goes into the shade. The rock is limestone. From the parking lot, walk the main trail to the outlook. At the outlook, turn right. You will walk south along the cliff line. After ~10 minutes of walking, you will come to a slot that is easy to walk down. This is Gooseberry Gully. Descend this gully. Turn right. This is the start of the GooseBerry area.
