The side facing away from the water is about 14 foot, the side facing the water is 20'+ and needs to be cleaned very badly and is so far unclimbed. Limestone Slight Choss (but we like that kind of stuff) Super low key spot under the bridge at the end of Mass Street. You can get their two ways, either walk along the bridge until you see the big wooden staircase on the East side of the bridge or just walk around to the back side of the city hall building and cross the train tracks and you'll see a big wall made of limestone blocks. Def bring a crash pad and def bring a brush because this wall is sandy as the beach on some holds. There are a lot of potential climbs towards the middle of the wall which none of us have been able to send (yet) Once you get towards the middle of the wall you lose the big step blocks and the challenge increases. This is also where the holds get a bit sandy so bring a brush or a plastic straw to blow out some of the sand. It may seem sketchy climbing here because you can be seen from the city hall building and also service trucks frequent the little dirt road by the railroad tracks but we've climbed here quite a few times and have never been hassled. THIS LIMESTONE CAN BE WAY CHOSSY so be careful. Most of the holds are pretty solid but definitely use common sense when climbing here. One of the only actual outdoor climb spots in LFK and is a really fun spot, there is also a trash can right next to it so don't litter and also some pretty cool trails to the West. I'll try and remember to get some more pics next time i'm in town. Just at the end of Massachusetts Street behind city hall. Either walk along the bridge and take the wooden stair case down of just walk under the bridge and cross the train tracks.
250 ft long limestone cliffside with beautiful shaped holds. Some of the rock is even fossiliferous limestone, some of the rarest I’ve seen in Kansas. Park at the corner of Killcreek road and 83rd St on the right in a dirt parking lot next to some gas piping. From there make your way across to the other side of Killcreek road and walk your way under the bridge that is on your right. There should be a clear path by how much I’ve been out there. Once you are under the bridge carefully walk down to the bottom and you will begin to see the cliffside on your left. Be very careful climbing on some of the holds as they may still need attention and cleaning.
a great lakeside bouldering session if you don't mind slightly chossy limestone. not the tallest but it is over hanging! go to the north side of lake Olathe and look for the sign that says fractured it makes a trail follow that and you are there
