Featured Trad, Sport, Bouldering, and other popular climbing routes and climbing areas Greer, Arizona.
Slate I believe, has great traverse, and can top out most anywhere left to right on this boulder, great for warming up before you head up the hill to the big problems. Down the hill of the big rock pile with the American flag on top. A few boulders had rolled off and this is the best quality one.
Beautiful scenery, thin air, no crowd, inns, and good grub across the creek in Greer City. There are places to park, don't block the road or park in front of any cabins/homes, please! Turn off the 260 to go South on the 373, entering the city of Greer. Continue a few minutes until you can turn left on the dirt trail, East Fork Rd. A mile or so down the trail you will be able to see up the hill on your left (East) clearly as the trees open up, there is a large rockpile up a big hill, with an American flag atop it.
Slate, lots of PG-13 or worse climbs, protection doesn't work for many spots due to the angle of the hill below. There are some good climbs that you can protect! Looking up the hill/East off country rd 1121 you will see the obvious rock pile, American flag on top of it
