Featured Trad, Sport, Bouldering, and other popular climbing routes and climbing areas Granite, Oklahoma.
A beautiful whale-shaped boulder on the back of Quartz Mountain. It's worth the hike for the short but awesome "Julie's Crack." Walk to the back of Quartz mountain. Stay on the obvious trail, passing under Stray Cats and Munge Lunge. Eventually you will see a long white boulder that looks like a whale coming out of the water.
Lots of scattered bouldering. Lots of easy to moderate problems. Take a trail from the parking lot around the west side of the mountain.
The crustier side of Quartz. Some short lines, plus the chossy solo line, Devil's Slide. Shade early, blazing late. Hike the trail that goes around the west end of the formation.
