Climbing Near Gaston, North Carolina

Not the best climbing but if you’re bored and in the area there are a handful of short boulders hereBoth areas are off of the main paved trail that runs along the river. 1 area by the gazebo and another farther downstream. Battle park is located off of highway 64 running through Rocky Mount, NC.

This area has a couple of sport routes.  For the rest, bring a light rack up to a #1 Camelot. The wall gets morning sun and afternoon shade. Walk down the gully and BAM you're there.

This side of the trestle faces the road.  Be careful of ankle-rolling rocks at the base of this area.Feel free to add extra bolts to routes on this side.  Just make sure to use stainless steel and know what you're doing. Road-facing, broad section of the wall.
