Climbing Near Gainesville, Florida

Off-campus student housing for the University of Florida, this "area" contains a concrete stormwater control structure which is accessible when its retention pond is dry. Though it is only 5-6 feet in height from the lowest corner there is at least one very short boulder problem, worth trying if you live nearby and have a dry afternoon to kill. A short jaunt from the parking along the western edge of the complex, the control structure is in the larger triangular retention area adjacent to the tennis/basketball courts.

Medium size Boulder with tons of holds. Not many routes figured out yet. Hardest has to be v2 so far. Veteran's park is located at 7400 SW 41st Pl, Gainesville, FL 32608.To find The Memory Boulder, head north east, can't miss it by a huge tree and the memorial for fallen police officers.
