Featured Trad, Sport, Bouldering, and other popular climbing routes and climbing areas Fort Kent, Maine.
The County: Everything North, East, & West of the Highlands East of BSP and North of BSP, the "county" is a vast swath of country stretching up to Quebec. Historically a source of lumber and potatoes, as Maine mills shut down it's more and more potatoes. Much wilderness exists here, and some rugged local communities. Many towns have no name, only numbers "TR-25, TR-24," etc... Some of Maine's most amazing wilderness experiences are contained within, such as the winding Allagash river which seems to hide a moose around every bend. Wildlife abounds, people are scarce. It is beautiful. 295

This is a beautiful little quartzite cliff located in the village of Saint-Cyprien. This cliff is on a private land so be respectful and follow the rules to make sure the place stays open for ever!!! It's gets plenty of sun in the afternoon and on windy days, you can get a good breeze, so it dries quickly after rain. The routes have been put up by "Les grimpeurs de l'est". Coming from Trois-Pistoles, take your left on Chem. Taché E. Drive about 2,5 KM then take your right on Chem. Raudot S. for about 1KM. You will see the Montagne à Gamache signe to your right and the parking lot. With a little management, the parking lot can host 5 to 6 cars. From the parking lot, hike on the road for about 1KM downhill, then when you get to a fork, head left into a small hiking trail. Then trail is rough for the last 100M, appart from that, it's a walk in the park.
