Featured Trad, Sport, Bouldering, and other popular climbing routes and climbing areas Clovis, California.
These Boulders are reached by either driving down the dirt road (right after the pay booth), staying left on the dirt road, it goes down and back up hill and then curves right. Parking is obvious just after you come up over the hill. The other parking for this area is to follow the road through the gate and after the first large bend in the road, there is roadside parking for quite a few cars. The “swinger's ball” boulder is practically roadside and the strikeKing boulders are down the trail and slightly left while theMolar & flyFishing are not as far down but more left.Very easy to hike around the beach and pretty much climb everything out here from either one of the parking areas. See map. Try to pick up some trash while your out there if you can. Watch out for broken glass in the sand and at the base of rocks.
Millerton Lake State Recreation AreaMadera side, state park entrance fee $10, granite.Park is open until 10pm during the summer months. You will almost always have cell phone service out there, parking is really close to most of the boulders, and it is only 30 mins from Fresno. Great place to get some decent outdoor bouldering if you woke up too late for a National Park.Be careful of choss, broken glass, and rattlesnakes. Try to pick up some trash while you’re out there if you can. Please message me if you think there needs to be a correction.rockclimbing.com (Millerton) from Fresno: 41 north turn right onto road 145, continue straight after stop sign, turn right onto road 145 to access Madera side of Millerton lake.

Follow the road from the pay booth through the first gate.. A few bends in the road.. day use parking for the campgrounds is at the dirt turn out before the next gate on the right side of the road a few minutes down the road.
