Featured Trad, Sport, Bouldering, and other popular climbing routes and climbing areas Caldwell, Idaho.
Bulging, overhanging, rhyolite rock of decent quality once cleaned. Currently there's one route here (Determinism, 5.11a). Sits in a nice setting near the creek. Shaded early morning and evening. It might be a little spacey for some between the 3rd-4th bolt and last 6th bolt to chains. I might go back and add a few more bolts here. From Nampa, take ID-45 S and ID-78 W to Wilson Creek Rd in Owyhee Countyabout 30 milesFrom ID- 45, keep right to continue toward ID-78 WFrom ID-78 W turn left onto Wilson Creek RdFrom Wilson Creek Rd, Turn left onto 37154 (Pigeon Rd)1.6 miFollow Pigeon road to two parking areas. The first parking area is early and avoids the roughest part of the road (Adds 5-10 minutes to the hike). The lower parking is where Pigeon Rd. dead ends and meets the trail. See picture for details.
This is the first 'litle' boulder on a right bending curve when driving uphill going towards Bogus basin. This is a boulder just before you enter the Boise National Forest proper. There is a dirt parking area just after the curve on the right (going uphill). Follow the obvious trail from the dirt pull off.
Area is an outcrop of sandstone right off the side of trail up to the top of table rock. Approach is very short start on the left most trail leading up to Table Rock and you will soon see it just off to your left.
