Climbing Near Bryce Canyon City, Utah

A short walk from the ATV Trail, a gulley with 4 large boulders awaits a patient and thorough first ascentionist. From Highway 12 take Tom Best's Spring road to trail 183 to trail 116. Use coordinates.

Bellow the massive conglomerate cliffs a fair number of boulders of varying rock quality rest on the scree and dirt slopes. Tom Best's Spring Road will get you close and is in good shape, then find a number of small ATV trails and get as close to the GPS as possible. I think I used Trail 183 to 116.

A smattering a boulders higher up the slopes, requiring some bushwhacking to access. No signs of people besides their cattle. Many FA options around but beware, some of the boulders are more dirt than rock. From Hwy 12 the best road is Tom Best's Spring road to Trail 183 to Trail 116. Spot the boulders from the road or follow your GPS, many FA options exist but trails do not.
