Climbing Near Blue Ridge, Georgia

This is a fairly large undeveloped boulder approximately 16-18 feet at it's highest point maybe. It's near aska trails and is in USNF. It has fairly easy access but needs some heavy cleaning and development, parts of it have been cleaned already but it still needs a decent amount of work. There are a handful of obvious routes on this boulder Take aska to shady hills Rd to Brown cove road. There will be a large boulder on your right and a pull off immediately past it. The boulder that is climbable is directly across the street in the hill side so it maybe hard to see it at first. It's about a 30 foot walk to the top of the boulder and from there you can walk around either side.

Heavily forested creekside boulder field. No access fees as it is a roadside pull out.  First Boulders are within 100 feet of parking.This area has huge potential and is largely undeveloped.  Please be responsible as this lies within the Cherokee National Forest.  Practice Leave No Trace and do not alter the landscape.  From Chattanooga 75 North take exit 20 toward Cleveland US-64 Byp E.  Keep right toward Cleveland.  Continue onto APD 40 for 5 miles.  Turn right onto US-64 E toward Ocoee.  Continue 23 miles and it's on the left. It's about 1 hour 10 minutes from Downtown Chattanooga.  Look for the Goforth Creek turnout on the North side of the road. From the other direction it is 4 miles North of the Ocoee Whitewater Center and 15 minute North of Ducktown, TN on US-64.

Great crag with very strong granite holds. Could use some cleaning but has awesome holds This is an amazing crag if you are able to get to it. Recommend an off-road vehicle to get to the approach, after that you have about a 2.3-mile hike straight up a mountain to the base of the falls. Can be trad climbed but is best top rope using trees as anchors. From the intersection of Hwy 53 & 400, drive 2 miles North, turn left on Hwy 136 W. 12 miles and turn right onto Bailey waters Rd. Stay straight and cross over Hwy 52 onto Wesley Chapel Road. Drive.8 miles and turn left onto Dan Fowler Rd. Drive 1.2 Miles and take left onto Blackhawk Rd. Start of off-road vehicle recommendation. Ford the creek crossing. The road parallels a field for 100 yards before reaching a fork. Take the left fork. Primitive campsite with room to turn around just before vehicle gate and second crossing of Cochran's creek. Follow the trail hand-railing the creek to the base of the falls. GPS for base of falls: 34.575, -84.216
