Featured Trad, Sport, Bouldering, and other popular climbing routes and climbing areas Bend, Oregon.
A cool basalt wall right across the river from Mckay Park. The wall is about 15 feet tall with a cool crack system in the rock but everything even the boulders on top seem to be sturdy. It should be noted that the cave to the right has seen homeless/druggies and should be avoided until its cleaned up. Until then, only two routes have been established. Go to Mckay Park/ White Water Park off of Colorado Ave. Walk across the bridge to the other side of the river directly across. You can also park at Millers Landing, head left down the walk way and the wall is 50 yards down the path on the left.
Freddy's Bedroom holds some nice boulders, the tallest holding the most routes. From the hallway, go straight through till you hit an opening into the next climbable area. This is Freddy's bedroom. From the gate: walk the service road
Area just to the right of the entrance to The Hallway, around 3 boulders live here. Walk up the main trail from the access road towards The Hallway, then turn right to the small cove of rocks with a twisted tree in the middle of the biggest boulder.
