Sandstone Cliff line overhanging the lake by by HWY 43. If the lake level is low you can climb...if the lake level is normal you cannot get to the base of the wall and the water is NOT deep enough to DWS. HWY 69 to HWY 43 just north of Atoka. Take Hwy 43 West and cross over the lake. Park on the other side of the bridge. You can see the cliff line before crossing the bridge.
Great bouldering area with 25' to 30' limestone walls, some of the harder problems can be top roped or done as lead routes. From Hwy43 & 69 go west to the first bridge. You will see overgrown limestone walls extending north. Follow the creek and wall north until the bases of the walls begin to become free of brush. Best routs are past when the wall takes a turn to the west.
Lake Atoka is not an popular spot, however some info exists here for a couple distinct areas near or along Lake Atoka Reservoir. Just west of highway 69, north of Atoka and close to Stringtown. See the sub-areas for more info.
