Black Mountain Bouldering

Purchase this book

The most comprehensive guide to Black Mountain, including nearly 2,000 unique problems. From the author:
"I've been climbing at Black for well over 15 years and it's somewhere that holds a special place in my heart. It's a place that keeps on giving and somehow never gets old. It's the place where my love for exploration and development began. This guide is not only an attempt at sharing the work of the previous explorers and developers but also to include the last 10 years of exploration and development and also to hopefully inspire others to do the same.

Out of the 1900+ climbs that are currently listed, there are 300+ that previously have never been documented. There are also about 300 more in different outlying areas that are still to come.

In an effort to be as accurate as possible, I have put my hands on every single one of the boulders listed in this guide. That said, I'm just one person, and I see this as a communal effort. In a lot of cases, I'm likely wrong. I tried to get as much consensus as possible, but often, the only opinion I knew of was my own. I encourage everybody to not just take the grade that I gave the climb but to think critically about their own experience and contribute to the consensus.

Please have fun, be safe and enjoy the outdoors!"
